I think the hammers look good (size wise) but as for swords...it bugs me how alot of them look paper thin...

My warrior Charsi Black Smith and her Pig Anvil beg to differ.

Yeas some of the hammers are incredibly tiny. Like the Greater Glyphic Maul it looks like a damn claw hammer on a stick. If its that small it should atleast swing faster. Now my copper crusher is a decent size but most of of them are way undersized.

Now my female ele uses an Undead Maul sometimes for fun. That thing is just the right size.

meh, hammers really dont need to be that big if u think about it

i think their sizes are fine, if i want a big hammer ill get an undead maul, mursaat hammer or tetsubo.

dwarven battle stance + dwarven stability

Take my quiz.

Do you think Hammers Suck?
1) Yes
2) No

If you chose 1, You are a scrub, and a nub.

Hammer>Axe>Sword

Pretty basic stuff.

Hammers are great. The only downer with them are the lack of skills early on in Prophecies (the only campaign I have so far) and how ridiculous the animal headed ones look - not that that'll stop me from using my Sundering Rhino's Charge 'til I find another maxed hammer with just about any other skin and a vaguely decent haft (Sundering at 20% is nice) for it. :P

Hi.

You should Wiki: Earthshaker. It's sufficiently excellent for PvE and PvP.

Remember kids:

There is an excellent chance you are still a noob despite these:

Level20
Vanity weapons/Armor
Millions of Exp
"Kind of a Big Deal" title
Lots of plat in storage

Hammers only suck if you enjoy wailing on stuff and get annoyed with having to switch targets so much cause it dies so fast. ^_^

Yeah, you can't really make a hammer any bigger. They may pull it off in Animes and stuff but, GW has a good realistic size.

Go buy a bowling ball and drop it on your foot, should be around the same weight.

Quoted for pure truth...

And to add to that... after dropping it on your foot, stick it onto a long pole and hold it at 45° for hours on end while running around town scremaing "Save yourselves!!!" and "For great Justice!!!" (no need to swing it, as you wont manage to hold it anyways).

I have a few hammers ranging from tiny (clockmakers hammer) to a big 5KG one for taking down walls. Not even the big one looks remotely the size of the medium sized ones, and thats already difficult to swing multiple times without breking into a sweat.

What? Excellent chance? Damn right. I pugged a lot recently and there is a terrifying amount of pretty bad players (read: DOUBLE BONDING) with ultra-highend gear and loads of titles.

the only hammer that i really think looks like crap is the Gavel of Nephilim...i mean when my female warrior used to have one, her hand was on the head because the grip was too small.

yes I do I see them every day, as well as playing a female war in pvp.

well duh you have only been playing for 200 hours, you only have 200 hours under your belt that is very very low and understandable why you have not seen them.

I play a Female Warrior and my favourite weapon on her is a Hammer.

REAL women use hammers.

Anyhoo, I fully agree with the OP. Some hammers are rediculously small...and when the guy who designed the Gaven of the Nephilm saw how small they made it, surely he must have been gutted.

There are a few hammer skins which I consider "decently large":
  • Undead Maul
  • Igneous Maul
  • Twin Hammer
  • Mursaat Hammer & Mursaat Maul
  • Summit Hammer
Undead is my favourite by a long way...but more of them could do with...just...being scaled up a bit, make them look more like a weapon to drive terror into people rather than a cotton bud.

its not the size, its how you use it...

but lets face it most warriors in this game only have obsidian flesh capped

and back on topic... mursaat hammer = win :P as well as those BMP hammers, theyre HUGE!
